20 ปี แห่งการสร้างชุมชนร้อยเอ็ดอโศก ด้วยวิถีชีวิตที่เรียบง่าย สมาชิกทุกคนเป็นผู้ปฏิบัติ ธรรม ชาวอโศกถือศีลห้า รับประทานอาหารมังสวิรัติ ทำกสิกรรมไร้สารพิษโดยยึดหลักกินสิ่ง
ที่ปลูกและปลูกสิ่งที่กิน ในพื้นที่ยังประกอบด้วยผักป่าตามธรรมชาติที่สามารถกินได้โดยไม่ต้อง ปลูก เพียงแต่ต้องดูแลรักษา อนุรักษ์และไม่ทำลาย มีการจัดทำหลักสูตร “สัจธรรมชีวิต”
ประกอบด้วย หลักศีลธรรม คุณธรรม จริยธรรม เศรษฐกิจพึ่งตนเอง ชุมชนเข้มแข็ง การทำปุ๋ย ชีวภาพ การแปรรูปอาหาร การทำเครื่องจักสาน และเครื่องอุปโภคบริโภคใช้เอง จึงเกิดความ
อุดมสมบูรณ์ขึ้นมาได้ด้วยความร่วมมือร่วมใจของชาวร้อยเอ็ดอโศกและพี่น้องชาวบ้านใกล้เคียง ที่ได้ช่วยกันอนุรักษ์ดูแลพื้นที่ เห็นคุณค่าและตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของชุมชนเข้มแข็งตามแนวทาง เศรษฐกิจพอเพียง ทางกลุ่มยังได้ทำการพัฒนาแปรรูปผลิตภัณฑ์ “ข้าวตอก” ซึ่งได้จากข้าวเปลือกที่คั่วจนแตกออก เป็นดอกขาวที่มีกลิ่นคั่วหอม ผสมธัญพืชและเนยถั่วแหล่งโปรตีนที่สำคัญ เกิดเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ อาหารเช้า “ธัญพืชอบรสเนยถั่ว” ที่มีคุณประโยชน์และรสชาติถูกใจคนรุ่นใหม่ เหมาะกับยุคสมัย ที่มีวิถีชีวิตที่เร่งรีบต้องการความสะดวกสบายมากขึ้น

Roi Et Asoke Agricultural and Herbs Processing Community Enterprise

It has been 20 years of developing the Roi Et Asoke community which has a simply way of life. All members are spiritual practitioners. They observe the five precepts, eat vegetarian food, do non-toxic farming by following the principle “eat things that grow and grow what they eat”. The area also has natural wild vegetables that could be consume without planting. The only things that members should do are to conserve, preserve and not to destroy them. The community offers “the truth of life” curriculum, which consist the teaching of morality, merit and virtue, self-sufficient economy, strong community, making organic fertilizer, food processing, making wickers and making consumer goods for their own use. As members of Rot Et Asoke and the neighboring villagers work together to preserve the area, appreciate and realize the importance of strong community in accordance with the sufficiency economy guidelines, the area is abundance and resourcefulness. The community also developed the processing “popped rice” product, which made from roasted rice that has broken into white flowers shape with roasted fragrant. The roasted rice is then being mixed with cereal and peanut butter, which consider as an important protein source. It becomes the “breakfast cereal” that has benefits and flavors to satisfy the taste of the new generation. The “breakfast cereal” is suitable for people in an era of fast life and who want to be more convenience.
